I finally got a box ready to go to Gary over in Afghanistan. I've been wanting to do this for weeks, but things kept popping up, now it is time. The post office has these boxes called,"Flat rate- so I brought one home. I baked Christmas cookies in July for church and hid some in the freezer or Dad would have munched them up.

Melissa asked me to send him a prayer shawl, I call them "Angel hugs". Found a dark green one for Gary to wrap around his shoulders when he needs a hug.

Of course in Wisconsin, you need a few "Cow Tales." I don't know what people from Arizona like.

I had room left so---make oatmeal fudgies--give the man his chocolate and he is happy. Of course some of Deb's Country magazines and Dad came along with a couple VFW books too. The little green packages on the right are teeth cleaners!!! Gotta pick out the coconut from the candy. Does this look like something a guy would like to receive at mail-call, Melissa? I hope so because it is on the way to Afghanistan today!!

I had no idea I had to give so much info to send this out, but it is worth it. Ok, now it is ready. Get to the post office yet today so the man can enjoy it!! Stay safe, Gary--we are proud of you.
