A new start

It has been 3 years since I posted a blog. I'm not sure if I can do it.   Here goes~~~~

Pretty Girls Flashback

 Julie Kaye Emmerich--7 months old- taken when we lived on the farm in the Town of  Holway- 1964 -  

Chali Jo Emmerich- taken at our apartment in 2003- she had given me the daisy wall hanging for Grandparents Day that year. It is on the wall, not on her head!!!

Today's Project-Kiddie Bags for St. Paul's

 I've been wanting to do this for some time now, and today I finally got at it. Little girl bags filled with books and color books along with a few toys to keep those little hands busy during worship.

I found this cool fabric for the little boy's bags-lots and lots of frogs!!! Of course filled with all things boys like to play with. I'm in seventh Heaven doing this sort of project! 

 Then I dug in my fabric stash and came out with," Mary had a little lamb", print - so I made a couple bags for the wee ones that do not color yet and put in tiny books and soft animals. What fun Granny had with all these little gifts to help entertain our future members. God's Work, Our Hands!!!

Sue Emmerich-Achievement of the year

Last night we went to Awards night in Medford to see our daughter-in-law,Sue, accept the award for achievement of the year, Dean said,"This is the grand-daddy of all awards."  Sue prefers to stay in the background at such events, but this time she had to SHINE!!! Congratulations to you, Susan!!

I couldn't resist taking a shot of one of the beautiful plants that were very pleasing to my eyesas we walked up to the door outside.Many more all around were from The Flower Shoppe also.Itt was an evening enjoyed-  Thanks to Tim and Diane for being our guides~~    

Birthday Pretties-2/25/2012

Yesterday was my birthday , I won't say my age- as you all know , ladies aren't supposed to tell!! Lots of family stopped by in the last couple days with warm wishes- some phone calls too and on Facebook-WOW!! pages of birthday greetings. I am completely amazed at how no more secrets if you are on FB.

Our son, Paul brought the roses for us to admire and smell- and I do stop and smell the roses every time I walk by them.

And Deb brought us a touch of spring, a bouquet of tulips- a very welcome sight at this time of the year.

Aren't they just lovely? I had to set them in the living room so I can watch them open and close and dream of the warm days to come~~~ Thank you Family~~ we love you all too~~~
