Charli's Confirmation, May 23, 2010

We had a double header on Sunday. First Jack Rodman was baptized at the 8:00 worship and then at the 10:15 service, Charli was confirmed as she pledged her life to God and the church.
We were not in a good seat for taking photos at church, so I only got these from the party at the park following services. Charli and her parents waiting for the cake to be cut.

Come on, Gramma, get it done, the cake is melting here!!

Two pretty girls!! Tim was in charge of his favorite grand-daughter, Lily Angel, so we had to get a shot of her with Charli. Congratulations go to you Charli!! We are proud to have you in our family.

Munson Bridge Winery-May 16,2010

Paul and Lynn took us out today for a Mother's/Father's Day treat. We only went about ten miles from their home and this is where we ended up. The owners started as a hobby to make their own wine and ended up in a very unique business. The scene is at an old barn, turned into a winery and gift shop. Here is an old dresser turned into a display case of wine.
Some of the many , many bottles of wines for sale. People drive for miles, just to purchase their wine here.
I just loved this one- an old piano, turned into a display case holding wine glasses. You are given a glass and you get to taste several different wines. I liked "Juila's Raspberry." It was so good!!!
Outside we found this glass bottle tree. A metal thing bent to shape like a tree and all different colors of bottles hanging on it, upside down. It looks like I am lifting off a bottle, no way!!- They are all held on some way. The lady told us they even hold weddings there. The upper floor (the hayloft to us farmers) is set up for dancing and picture taking. I tell you, these folks thought of everything. Thank You, Paul and Lynn for a great day!! Love you guys--

I got flowers!!! May 6,2010

A couple days ago, I'm sitting in my chair crocheting on a prayer shawl-- the door flys open and I hear, "Hello, Happy Mother's Day Gramma." There was Megan with these pretty flowers!! What a sweetheart she is!!! Really brightened my day. Aren't they just the most colorful you ever have seen-- Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Megan!!! I love you, too!!

I snapped this one this one evening when Tim and I walked over to see Charli's concert. These trees around the Middle school were in full bloom , and I just could not resist . The air was full of the sweet fragrance of the pretty blooms.

Another pretty picture painted by Him. Last Sunday evening we had a thunder storm and the sun was shining-- I grabbed my camera, ran outside in my bare feet and took this shot. I was told there was a double rainbow that day, but we only had one here. Just keep your eyes open and you get to see so many beautiful pictures all around you, painted just for you to enjoy. No charge either!!

Charli's Spring Band Concert- April, 2010

Last week, Tim and I walked across the street to watch the Spring Band Concert at the Middle School. It was to be the last time Charli would perform at this school- next year she will be in high school!! Where does the time go??? This is Charli and her very best friend, Gabby Staples. I wanted a picture of them with their jackets on, but they already had taken them off, so they held the jackets in front of them--silly girls!!
The next shot is Charli's class waiting for their turn to play. I don't think she looks too happy on here--It's okay, Charli, you will do just fine--and she did!!

This last one is the seventh and eighth grades playing together-- guess what the final song was__ Go Big Red!!! Man, everyone was in on that one, even little ole grannies(ahem). Yep, Tim and I were yelling, "GO BIG RED". What a good concert they put on for us. Way to go, Charli. Good Luck in Senior High!
