Dad's farm

Okay, now Jules is gone home. What should I practice on??? Yeah, the little barn in Dad's bedroom. Should I tip the camera this way or that way?? Maybe right here--ok--press the little buttton-- now how do I view it?? I'll push this one here--oh, there it is. I did it!!!! But it is not centered--oh well it will be better next time. Hey, this is fun. I need to keep the instructions real handy for a while. I wonder how I get these on my computer--Hey Jules--where are you???

Mama Mallard at St. Paul's

I took my camera along to church and snapped this one of the duck that wants her babies to be Lutheran!! She made her nest right outside Pastor Pete's door , and laid two eggs in it. Yep, I have to learn how to not take photos when in the shade, you can't see her head.

A Closer Look

Here is a close up. The white part under the glass shelf is part of the tree, that is the way it grew. He said he did not add or remove any thing--this is the way Mother Nature made it. You have to see it to really believe it. Oh, yes, we did go to eat too--at a place in Willard, Wisconsin!!! A real down home eating spot called,"Dale's North Mound Tavern." Remember the Highveiw when the Brandt's were there? Well, kinda like that. Lots of families with kids coming home from the lake area. There was even a young menonite lad came on horseback to eat--he had a couple cans of Coors Lite before he ate supper. The little bartender was kinda attractive too!! Dad just couldn't get over that one--eating out Amish!!! Good food!!!

Paul's New Creation!!

Yesterday being Father's Day, Paul and Lynn invited Dad and I out to their home--they were going to take us out to eat supper. The first thing he had to show us was his new lamp table! More than a year ago he found this yellow birch tree in his woods- it was so twisted and unnatural looking he cut it down and drug it home. He said it just laid there for about a year, he didn't know what he wanted to do with it. This last winter he decided to take the old bark off and sanded it down, the grains are very unique and different. Then he put on a clear coat to add the shiny luster look. Now where is he going to put it?? Didn't fit in the living room so upstairs it went to the master bedroom. Lynn has one end of the room that is southwestern, and it fits in real nice with the theme there. It goes all the way to the ceiling, so kinda looks like it grew there. He sure has a talent for original ideas, doesn't he?

Worship in the park

It was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy it we did!! This is Lily and Peyton holding the pictures Pastor Pete gave them--It say "God's Work. Our Hands.". He had actually put his hand in the copier to make the picture. We never know what he is gonna come up with next! Tim brings these two with him on Sundays and they are getting real good at listening. They both run up front for the children's message and sit like little angels. Lily said to me this last Sunday"Pastor Pete forgot he was supposed to count to three--he stopped on two every time."
He was taking a video of the congregation and we were supposed to yell on the count of three. A lot of laughing going on-- I think it was God's work, now that I think of it.
