Christmas Cookies with Peyton & Lily

A week ago Tim brought his grandkids here to help make cookies for Christmas. Peyton really got into it here packing down the dough.

Chad's friend, Jacci and Charli get in the act when it's time to decorate them.

Peyton says, "This is my favorite cookie, I'm gonna eat this one!"

Lily," I think I like the blue bunny one right here, Grandma Emmerich. When can we eat them?"

Blizzard of Dec. 11, 2010

Oh, yes let it snow!!! We had 20 inches of the white stuff. We just sat inside and watched and prayed for everyone to be safe. Today a big machine and two dump trucks came in and picked the snow up from the huge piles and took it to the fairgrounds where it will be used for snowmobile events in January.

Here is where we spend our time in the summer and visit. Not for a while now I guess. Snow is too deep to get there.

The snow blew off the building all day and piled on the trees. They look like a Christmas card picture.

Poor Ole Glory, she had a bad day, first one way, then the other. She still flies , no matter what the weather!!

Building a Christmas Tree 2010

Sis and her friend, George, decided to put up her Christmas tree in the basement this year. Here is how it goes. Sis,"I'll read the directions and you do the work."   George,"Are you sure you want me to do this?"

"Don't leave me now, I don't know which ones go in next!  get back here!!"

Guess the branches are all on and Sis was under the tree checking it out ~ too late with the camera to catch her down there on her belly.

Here is the finished job. What a nice tree we will have to share with others this year. We did have 15 people here yesterday for coffee and cookies in our new social room down in the basement. It was so much fun that everyone wants to come back and visit again soon. Good Job!! Sis and George!!! Merry Christmas

Halloween 2010

These two little men surprised us by showing up at our door on Sunday. Corbin and Collin Sperl as cowboy and scarecrow had to pose for the camera.

This bunch was really scary!!! Peyton, the green skeleton and Lily the princess, brought two of their friends along for trick or treat . We never did see the face behind the white mask.

A close-up of the princess!! Smile pretty , Lily~~

Little flower girl, Haddie and big sis, Felicity stopped after the parade to gather some candies. Granny loves to cuddle the greatgrands when they are here. Hope you all had as Happy Halloween as we did. See ya next year.
