Farewell to Maggie-August, 2010

One of the ladies that lives here at Centennial Apartments has chosen to move to an Assisted Living complex so we had a party for her to say good-bye and wish her well. Of course Ken had to play some of her favorite songs.

Aunt Sis, Uncle Earl and Florence Lemke watching the fun after we had our lunch.

This is Maggie Gebert in the blue cap- she was the guest of honor. I think she is giving her grand-daughter some advice for making life so sweet.

Farewell, Maggie, come back and visit us sometime~~

Kathryn's Birthday

My sister, Kathryn Deml celebrated her 88th birthday on July 7, 2010, so she had a cake ordered to be served at church when we had a pot-luck luncheon. We sang Happy Birthday and all wished her well.

Of course the cake had to be red, white and blue, her favorite colors. It was so yummy with the whipped frostimg that she likes. A special day for a special lady!!! Happy Birthday, Kathy~~~

Kate has a strong bond with our Pastor Nancy. They have become such great friends this summer since Kate's stroke, Pastor visits her very often and they pray and talk over
some of the issues going on in Kate's life. How good it is to have family and friends in our lives- Thanks be to God!!!

Summer Fun and Family~July, 2010

Heading to watch the Sunday Night, Church softball game- Peyton and Lily lead the way the the bleachers.
Charli grabs the bat and tries her skill at bat, she made it to second base, but did not score a run this time.
Hummm!!! I think I will hit it way over that fence back there!!! Oh, what fun to see the Storm team in action .Maybe next time, Charli. Keep up the good work while having fun--

Peyton's Soccer~July 21,2010

Yesterday we went to watch Peyton play his final of the season, soccer game. When the game ended, his coach gave them all a white ribbon and shook their hands and said ,"Congratulations."
He comes running over to tell us this and he said,"That means we played good doesn't it?" Yes, little Buddy, you did play good!!!
We never know the score- who needs to keep score for this?? So much fun watching these boys and girls playing their little hearts out just for the fun.

What happened?? I thought I cropped out the coach's butt!!! Oh, well, you get the drift~~ Peyton gives a high-five to a player from the other team~~That's our little man~`proud of him we are!!!

Water, water everywhere~July 14,2010

Today we had a real downpour here in Medford about 1:00 Pm. This is what our back yard looked like by our garden. We had four inches of rain in less than an hour and it had no place to go. The neighbor kids had a blast playing in the water!!! I think Troy's wood pile got kind of wet too. Our raspberry patch is just off to the left on the hill.
Little Abby coming over to talk to me- she said," Now I don't need my pool to swim in." The blue thing in the first picture is her swimming pool. Paddy, the dog was wondering what is this about.

Can you believe they got out the tubes and were paddling all around their back yard. Bobby said, "The water is fine, come on in!!!"~ I don't think so , Bobby~~

Mommy calls,"Abby, get back here and get your life jacket on right now!!!" Mom has been busy getting this all on her video camera and Dad was wading around out there with Abby.
