Dedication Day- Feb.20,2011

Yesterday we had a celebration at St. Paul's as we had the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new addition. Dave Beck and Clem Johnson did the honors as church elders and committee leaders. The Welcome Hall was packed as we all enjoyed visiting and testing out the food on the snack table!!
I had sewed this quilt using fabric donated by one of our Peacemakers Quilting Group- she just passed away in December so it was in her honor that we held a silent auction on it. When we left yesterday, the highest bid was $260.00 and still going until next Sunday. Mike hung it above in the choir loft so it hung down in back of the church.
A close up of the colors. It is king -size so there are 6 people bidding against each other.
Madaline Brost , one of our guitar players, and Pastor Pete jamming it up!!! We sure had a good time, good message by Amy from the bishop office, and lots of fun.

Olivia Leah- Child of God-2011

Today we were witness to see another great-grand child presented into the church as one of His lambs. Olivia Leah Emmerich is her name and she is such a beautiful little bundle of love.
Her Grammy Sue holding the special princess of the day!!
All tuckered out from her big ordeal- she just wants to sleep now~~in her Daddy's arms is just fine~
The Emmerich family with big brother, Ethan, in here now. Mom got him from playing with the golf balls long enough to snap a couple pictures~Congratulations to Katie, Jake and Olivia on this joyful day.

Christmas With the Brothers 2010

It was Sister's turn to host the annual gathering for the family. As long as the basement was all trimmed for the holidays, we had our party down there. These guys are talking about how cold it has been this winter.
Vernon, Virginia and Aunt Florence Lemke. Since Flo lives in our building, we usually have her join us when we get together. She tells all the stories about how much fun they all had in the good ole days!!!
Sister and her friend , George were the hosts for the day. Lots of trips down and back up carrying food and other things we needed. After our noon meal , we played a dice game and had a few drinks- the last of the family left at 7:00Pm-Oh, what fun we had!
Here is the gang- in the order of their birth years. Earl, Vernon, Kenny, Sister, Glen and Roger. Next year the party will be at Glen and Eileen's home-- she sometimes can't come because she is still a working girl! We'll see what happens then.

Julies Jammies-American Girl Doll

Here I am back in making clothes for American Girl Dolls. I gave away most of my patterns because I never thought I would live long enough to sew for my great-grand daughters dolls. Two new dollies made their way into the Emmerich homes at Christmas time so away we go~~~ This one is actually for Kylee Koontz's doll and her name is Julie!! I am making PJ's for Kylee to match. I can't wait to see her face when she looks at this. Do you reconize the model doll?? I was given my Addy doll by several of my grand-daughters when they were all in the doll craze. She has been all wrapped up in paper for a while so I was happy to bring her back up here. Now back to those silly owl hats!!!! My hands never stop, thanks be to God!!!

We Have a Mouse in the House

Today Jules and Felicity were here for a while. They stopped in to pick up some fabric to make a night gown for Felicity~~
Felicity and I were playing with our dolls and Jules says, "Mom, can I sample your Lazy Daisy cake?"  I had just baked it for VFW soup lunch tomorrow. This is what I found on my counter after they left. Hummm, I wonder who~~~
